THE RECORDS DISPOSAL (COURTS) RULES
ACT
IN ACCORDANCE with Records Disposal (Courts) Rules, notice
is given that three (3) months after the date of this publication, the
Chief Magistrate’s Court at Kisumu intends to apply to the Chief
Justice of the Supreme Court, for leave to destroy book and papers of
the court as listed below;
Criminal Cases 2016 – 2018
Civil Cases 2008 – 2010
A comprehensive list of all the condemned records that qualify to be
disposed under the Act can be obtained, perused at the Chief
Magistrate’s Civil and Criminal registries, Kisumu Law Courts.
Any person desiring the return of any exhibit in any of the above cases
must make his/her claim within the time stipulated in this publication
should do so before the expiry of the notice.
All exhibits for which no claim is substantiated before the destruction
of the records shall be deemed to be part of the records for purposes of
destruction under Rule 4 of the Records Disposal (Courts) Rules.
