THE ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT AND CO-ORDINATION ACT
(No. 8 of 1999)
ACT
PURSUANT to section 59 of the Environmental Management and
Coordination Act, 1999, the National Environment Management
Authority (NEMA) has received an Environmental Impact Assessment
Study Report for the above proposed project.
The proponent, Mara Groove Limited, proposes to construct 5
blocks residential building comprising a total of 502 housing units
(130 one bedroom units, 156 two bedroom units and 216 three
bedroom units) 13 shops, gym, parking spaces, power distribution
room, water pump room and other associated facilities and amenities
on plot L.R. NO. 7149/210 located off along the Nairobi-Mombasa
Highway in Syokimau Area Machakos County.
The following are the anticipated impacts and proposed mitigation
measures:

The National Environmental Management Authority, invites
members of the public to submit oral or written comments within
thirty (30) days from the date of this publication to the Director-
General, NEMA to assist the Authority in the decision making process
for this project.
