ESTABLISHMENT

IT IS notified for general information of the public that pursuant to section 94 of the Mining Act, 2016, the Artisanal Mining Committee, Kitui County, shall comprise of the following members:- Martin Mumo Kiema — Chairperson Gideon Melli — Secretary Members: Anthony Kivila Munyao Rachel Kathini Kilunda Anthony Mutisya Kituku Purity Muthoni Josey Njoki Mukiri Wanza Kimondiu The terms of reference for the Committee shall be to advise the representative of the Director of Mines in the granting, renewal or revocation of artisanal mining permits. The Term of Office of the Committee shall be three (3) years, with effect from the 1st June, 2020. The Committee shall be based at the State Department for Mining Office at Kitui.
