SETTLEMENT

IT IS notified for general information and pursuant to section 39 of the Competition Act, 2010 ("the Act"), that in exercise of the powers conferred by section 31 (1), the Authority upon receipt of complaint against Emu-inya Enterprises Limited t/a Getbucks Kenya ("the Company"), the Competition Authority of Kenya ("the Authority") has entered into a settlement agreement with the company pursuant to section 38 after the company was found to have contravened sections 56 (1), (3) and (4) of the Act. Under the settlement agreement — (a) the Authority has imposed a financial penalty to the tune of Kenya Shillings nineteen thousand, eight hundred (KSh. 19,800.00) on the company; and (h) the company gave a written undertaking vide the settlement agreement to in future refrain from engaging in any conduct that is in contravention of the Act.
