GAZETTE NOTICE NO. 2834

NOTICE is given to all residents and stakeholders within Wote Municipality, Makueni County that pursuant to the provisions of the Physical and Land Use Planning Act, 2019, the County Governments Act, 2012 and the Urban Areas and Cities Act, that Wote Municipality in conjunction with the Government of Makueni County intends to prepare the Wote Municipality Integrated Development Plan (IDeP) and the Wote Municipal Spatial Plan. Whereas the purpose of IDeP is to provide an overall Wote Municipality integrated framework for municipality's urban growth and a basis for co-ordinated programming of projects and budget, the municipal spatial plan will provide a spatial framework with policies and development proposals to guide and control development and to ensure orderly, co-ordinated, harmonious and progressive development of infrastructural facilities and services for socio-economic development. The Municipality of Wote and the County Government of Makueni shall hold adequate stakeholder meetings in the municipality before the completion of the plan.
