IT IS notified for the information of nominees and the public that persons listed in the table below have been nominated by the Governor of Narok County for appointment as Chairperson and Members, Narok County Public Service Board (CPSB) and Member, Narok Municipality Board respectively and their names submitted to the County Assembly for vetting/approval. Consequently, pursuant to provisions of Articles 185 and 235 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010, section 8(1)(a) and 58 of the County Governments Act, No. 17 of 2012, section 9A of the Urban Areas and Cities Act, section 7 of the Public Appointments (County Assemblies Approval) Act, No. 5 of 2017 and in particular, the specific requirements of subsections (2), (4) and (5) thereof, and the Narok County Assembly Standing Orders, the following listed nominees to the position in the aforementioned capacity are invited to appear before the Assembly's Committee on Appointments at the County Assembly Chambers, Narok, for approval hearings/vetting on Monday, 23rd March, 2020 as indicated below:- Name of Nominee Position Time John Nkukuu ole Kimanjoi Chairperson, County Public Service Board 9.00 a.m. Moses ole Kipeno Member, County Public Service Board 9.45 a.m. Paul C. Eight copies of the filled questionnaire should be returned together with 8 copies of the curriculum vitae, national identity card and certified copies of personal credential/academic certificates and other testimonials to the Office of the Clerk of the County Assembly at County Assembly Buildings not later than 5.00 p.m. on Friday, 20th March, 2020. The nominees should also submit along with the above 8 certified copies of current clearance certificates from the following bodies: (i) National Police Service (ii) Higher Education Loans Board (iii) Registered Credit Reference Bureau (iv) Kenya Revenue Authority (v) Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission 3rd April, 2020 Nominees with foreign degrees must obtain accreditation from the Commission of Higher Education of Kenya. The originals of all the aforementioned documents should be availed to the Committee during the approval hearing. Members of the public are invited to attend the approval hearing sessions. Members of the public are also invited to submit any information or comment on the suitability or otherwise of any of the nominees for appointment to the respective position. The submissions may be made by way of sworn statements or affidavits and may be accompanied by any documentary evidence.
