IT IS notified for general information that the Cabinet Secretary for Youth Affairs, Creative Economy and Sports has appointed the Preparatory and Management Team for the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris, France 2024. Terms of Reference of the Preparatory and Management Team shall be to: (a) oversee the preparation and participation of Team Kenya in the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris, France 2024; (b) review work plans, budgets and any other relevant proposals from the National Olympic Committee and Kenya National Paralympic Committee; (c) review and approve the final list of athletes that are to participate in the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris, France 2024; and (d) provide financial oversight. The Preparatory and Management Team shall comprise of— Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Youth Affairs, Creative Economy and Sports—Chairperson; Principal Secretary, State Department of Sports—Vice– Chairperson; Members: Paul Tergat, President, National Olympic Committee of Kenya; Shadrack Maluki, Chef de Mission, Paris 2024 Olympic Games; Francis Mutuku, Secretary-General, National Olympic Committee of Kenya; Eliud Anthony Kariuki, Treasurer, National Olympic Committee of Kenya; Lt. Gen. (Rtd.) Jackson Tuwei, Chairperson, Sports, Arts and Social Development Fund; Sarah Shibutse, Chief Executive Officer, Anti-Doping Agency of Kenya; Ronald Milale, President, Kenya National Paralympic Committee; Stanley Mutuma, Secretary-General, Kenya National Paralympic Committee; Wanjiru Mbugua-Karani, Chief Executive Officer—Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Secretary; Ambassador, Embassy of the Republic of Kenya to France; Caroline Kariuki—Sports Officer, Ministry of Youth Affairs, Creative Economy and Sports; Ruth Jerotich Bungei; Everlyn Auma Okumu; Athletes’ Representative, (Male); Athletes’ Representative, (Female; and James Waindi – Media Liaison.
