THE MENTAL HEALTH ACT

APPOINTMENT

NOTICE is given that by a decree dated the 7th November, 2025, issued by the Honourable Lady Justice P. M. Nyaundi (SC) at the Milimani High Court in Petition HCFMISC/E188/2025 dated 25th September 2025, Grace Wangari Njogu has been declared to be suffering from a mental disorder under section 26 of the Mental Health Act. Consequently, Rose Wanjiku Njogu has been appointed as her Legal Guardian under section 27 and as Manager of her Estate under Section 28 of the said Act. Any person who desires to support or oppose the said appointment, either in person or through an advocate, should take note that the matter is scheduled for mention before the Honourable Lady Justice Nyaundi Patricia Mande, SC on 5th February, 2026 for compliance confirmation. 32 32 Any person who intends to appear at the hearing must serve, or send by registered post, a notice of their intention to the Petitioner or her advocate on record prior to the mentioned date.
