GAZETTE NOTICE NO. 342

NOTICE is given to all Honourable Members of the County Assembly of Meru and the public pursuant to the provisions of Standing Order No. 30 (3) and (4) of the County Assembly of Meru Standing Orders, that Special Sittings of the County Assembly shall be held in the Assembly Chamber, County Assembly of Meru premises situate along Kenyatta Highway, adjacent the Meru Museum, on Wednesday, 14th January, 2026 and Thursday, 15th January, 2026, at 10.00 a.m. (Morning Sittings) and 2.30 p.m. (Afternoon Sittings) on both days respectively. At the Sittings: 1. The Sectoral Committee on Land, Economic and Physical Planning will Table its Report on the Meru County’s Annual Development Plan for the Financial Year 2026/2027; 2. The Sectoral Committee on Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries will Table its Report on its consideration of the Meru County Miraa Promotion Bill (Bill No.4 of 2025); 3. The Select Committee on Delegated Legislation will Table its Report on its Consideration of the Nkubu Municipality Charter; 4. The Honourable Assembly will consider the Tabled Report of the Sectoral Committee on Land, Economic and Physical Planning on the Meru County’s Annual Development Plan for the Financial Year 2026/2027; 5. The Honourable Assembly will consider the Tabled Report of the Select Committee on Delegated Legislation on the Nkubu Municipality Charter; and 6. The Honourable Assembly will consider all the remaining stages of the Meru County Miraa Promotion Bill (Bill No.4 of 2025). Dated the 7th January , 2026. HON.
