REVOCATION

IT IS notified for the general information of the public that pursuant to section 94 of the Mining Act, 2016, the Artisanal Mining Committee, Turkana County, shall comprise of the following members– Alexander S. Akilimo – Chairperson Joseph Sirengo – Secretary Members: Nahashon Cheboi Jacob Omukhobo Asembo Doricas Lolem Bilali Ekitela Lochakai Leah Ate Abei James Eweet Lometo 1. The Terms of Reference for the Committee shall be to advise the representative of the Director of Mines in the granting, renewal or revocation of artisanal mining permits. 2. The Term of Office for the Committee shall be three (3) years with effect from the 15th November, 2021. 3. The Committee shall be based at the State Department for Petroleum and Mining Office at Turkana. 4. The Ministry of Petroleum and Mining shall meet the costs of the Committee.
