PURSUANT to the provisions of section 30 (2) of the County Governments Act, 2012, I, Stanley K. Kiptis , Governor Baringo County nominate the following persons to the County Medical Board: Name Profession/Office Position in the Committee Stephen Kalya (Dr.) Physician Chairperson Caroline Kaminja (Dr.) Gynaecologist Vice- Chairperson Stanley Kitelit Psychiatrist Member Stanely Keitany Counselor Member Tarus Juluis Rutto County Attorney Member Susan Nakoru (Mrs.) Chief Officer , Public Service and Devolution Member Peter Keitany Head of Human Resources Member Mandate of the Board— (a) To provide advice and guidance on retirement of staff on grounds of ill health in a fair and consistent manner. (b) To review medical cases in line with existing legal policy and guidelines on retirement on grounds of ill health. (c) To provide professional assessment of physical and psychological health or state of an employee and their ability or inability to carry out tasks required of them. (d) To invite staff, interview and appraise affected staff in the process of decision making. (e) To provide professional and independent advice in relation to an individual’s medical condition and their eligibility for retirement on grounds of ill health. (f) To make recommendations to the Public Service Board concerning staff recommended for retirement on medical grounds. (g) To consider any requests by staff for retirement on medical grounds.
