THE CONSTITUTION
(No. 17 of 2012)
ACT
IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by section 26 of the
Mombasa County Roads Act, 2016, the County Executive Committee
Member for Transport, Infrastructure and Public Works gazettes the
temporary closure of roads within Mombasa County for effective
traffic management during peak hours otherwise known as Happy
Hour as per the attached Schedule.
SCHEDULE:
1. Traffic shall flow in one direction from the Central Business
District (CBD) towards Mainland North on both carriageways for a
period not exceeding 15 (Fifteen) minutes per session for a maximum
of 3 (Three) sessions between 5.00 pm and 6.30 pm on Weekdays
(Monday through Friday).
2. The flow from the CBD shall begin from the Bondeni Junction
(Kilifi Corner) along Sheikh Abdullah Farsi Road through the Nyali
Bridge, Fidel Odinga Road and culminate at the Mamba Roundabout
through Links Road.
3. Traffic shall flow in one direction from Mainland North
towards the Central Business District on both carriageways for a
period not exceeding 15 minutes per session for a maximum of 2
(Two) sessions between 7.30 am to 9.00 am on Weekdays (Monday
through Friday)
4. The flow from the Mainland North shall begin from Swalihina
Mosque along Nyali Road (New Malindi Road) through the Nyali
Bridge, Ronald Ngala Road, Tom Mboya Street culminating at the
Swaleh Nguru/Tom Mboya Junction on one arm and through Sheikh
Abdullah Farsi Road culminating at the Narok Road Junction on the
other arm.
