GAZETTE NOTICE NO. 952
THE KENYA UTALII COLLEGE IT IS notified for information of the general public that the Cabinet Secretary for Tourism and Wildlife has appointed a Taskforce on Reform and Re-engineering of the Kenya Utalii College. 1. The Terms of Reference for the Taskforce shall be: (a) To undertake institutional assessment of the Kenya Utalii College in relationship to its mandate with a view of identifying opportunities to leverage its future. (b) To review the global landscape of hospitality training identifying the current trends, and practices as well as models of training adopted by the public sector. (c) To receive views from hospitality, academic, tourism related stakeholders and other related persons as to options of the future model the KUC should adopt. (d) To make recommendations to the Cabinet Secretary on the institutional model around which KUC should be reformed and re-engineered. These should include, but not limited to: 5th February, 2021. THE KENYA GAZETTE 415 (i) KUC mandate and role in the tourism sector (ii) Sustainability of its operations (iii) Financing and sources of the funds (iv) Application of college investments and assets (v) Governance and management models (vi) Transition mechanisms 2. The Taskforce shall comprise the following: Joseph Boinett—Chairperson Members: Krishna Unni Barnabas Wamoto Shazmin Manji (Ms.) Mehdi Morad Lina Ayako (Ms.) Secretary: Kinuthia Ngugi assisted by Munyithya Kimwele. 3. The Taskforce may invite such persons as are necessary to provide information or assisting it with its work. 4. The Taskforce will make its own rules
